Chloe Chick is the founder of the Peaks Foundation, a company that organizes global mountain challenges for women who seek adventure while making a positive difference in the world.
Why the visit to NYC?
On Friday October 14th the Peaks Foundation is hosting a fundraising launch party at the Museum of the City of New York to raise crucial funds for empowering women and girls worldwide.
What’s the point of the event and why in NYC?
We have received so much support from New Yorkers and we want to continue to capture and encourage their adventurous spirits.
Can anyone come?
YES, the more the merrier. Tickets are $100 and include canapes, beer, wine, vodka cocktails, a mountain of prizes and DJ dance tunes until 1am – tickets can be purchased here.
When were you last here and what do you think of the city?
I was last in New York in September 2008. I was on a work trip attending the Clinton Global Initiative, enjoying all of the fine things that New York had to offer me, until I discovered that I was seven weeks pregnant. I will always have a special connection with NYC because of this.
What’s on your ‘must-do’ list while you’re here?
If you were Mayor of NYC for a day what would you do?
Ban all cars and buses so everyone would be encouraged to walk or ride a bike!
